How many people are traveling with you?
You don’t want a party bus that is too small or too big. Too small and everyone is cramped and uncomfortable, which sort of defeats the purpose of hiring us. Too big and it’s like being the only people at a nightclub; it feels awkward. Be sure you get firm commitments from the people you expect to party with you. We all have that friend who says “yes” to everything and no-shows all the time! Regardless, we have a variety of party buses to accommodate various party sizes.
What is your budget?
There is no right or wrong answer to how much to spend on a party bus, but it is important to understand what you get for your dollar. Most reputable party bus services in the Twin Cities charge about the same amount, so don’t be fooled by party bus service names that include “Half Price,” “Cheap” or “Discount.”
Instead, ask these questions:
- If you go 5 minutes over your time limit will you be charged? Will you be charged for 5 minutes, 15 minutes or a full hour?
- Are you expected to “leave the bus as you found it?” If so, does this mean you’ll end your evening cleaning the bus? And is that how you want to end your night?
- When was the last time the bus was serviced? How old is the bus? Lack of maintenance is an easy way for providers to save money. But skimping on maintaining a party bus is bad for business. All of our vehicles have passed MnDOT inspection and are permitted as limousines by the State of Minnesota. Imagine your bus breaking down on your special night. Isn’t peace of mind worth the few dollars an hour price variance?
- Is the bus party company licensed and insured according to the State of Minnesota laws and registered as a limousine company with the State? Though these are legal requirements (which we adhere to) there are some party bus operators in the Twin Cities who do not. Be sure to ask! If they are willing to operate outside the law, you will have absolutely no recourse if something goes wrong.
- What is the cancellation policy? No one wants to cancel a party bus, but it has been known to happen. Some discount party bus operators have a “no refund” policy.
- Who is driving the bus? All of our drivers are background checked, trained and licensed as a limousine driver.
When do you need the bus?
Most people book a party bus at least 30 days in advance to make sure the bus they want is available. However, if you’re within the 30-day window, give us a call. Some times of the year are busier than others. Plus, though it’s rare, sometimes there’s a cancellation which frees up a bus within the 30-day window.
